Short Biography:

Yara Mourad is the assistant director of the Issam Fares Institute and the program manager of the Refugee Research and Policy program, where she manages various research initiatives and collaborations on refugee issues in Lebanon and the Arab region. Her professional experiences exposed her to extensive work in policy-oriented research that has been translated into informed public-policy decision making. Prior to joining IFI, Yara worked at the Department of Health Management and Policy at the Faculty of Health Sciences at AUB, in the capacity of a project manager. Her work involved substantial research in various health care-related domains, as well as coordination of health systems strengthening projects. She holds a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from AUB and a Master of Public Heath (concentration in Health Management and Policy) from AUB.
